Project Perspective

A large catalogue should still feel simple to shop.

The main challenge was not simply displaying more products. It was creating enough structure that customers could understand the catalogue quickly, compare options comfortably and reach the right product without feeling overwhelmed. The interface therefore prioritises visual hierarchy, useful discovery tools and consistent shopping patterns across every screen.

Turning a product catalogue into a shopping experience

Slimza needed more than a collection of product cards. The prototype explored how the brand could present a broad catalogue through a cleaner, more premium and more deliberate digital experience.

The storefront was organised around the way customers actually shop: discovering a category, narrowing the selection, understanding a product, comparing its value and moving towards purchase.

Designing discovery first

Shop and category experiences were structured around clear navigation, search and filtering so users could reach relevant products without scanning an overwhelming catalogue. Product cards were kept informative but restrained, allowing imagery, pricing and primary product information to remain dominant.

Dedicated areas for categories, deals and bundles introduce additional discovery paths without competing with the core shopping journey.

A stronger product experience

The product detail experience was treated as one of the most important parts of the prototype. A dedicated image gallery with zoom gives customers a closer view of the product, while the surrounding information hierarchy keeps important purchasing details and actions immediately understandable.

The goal was to give shoppers enough information to make a decision while keeping the page visually calm and focused.

Bundles designed into the journey

The prototype also explored quantity-based bundle purchasing. Progressive discounts give customers a clear reason to increase order size while presenting the offer directly inside the shopping experience rather than hiding it behind promotional messaging.

  • 3 items — 10% discount
  • 4 items — 15% discount
  • 5 items — 20% discount

From browsing to checkout

The concept extends beyond the storefront into cart and guest checkout flows, creating continuity from first discovery through purchase intent. Supporting account, informational and policy screens help the prototype feel like a broader commerce product rather than a single landing-page redesign.

Designed to scale

Reusable frontend structures were used across products, navigation, filters, categories and supporting content. This provides a stronger foundation for future backend integration, real catalogue data, customer accounts, order management and production commerce functionality.

Product Principles

4 decisions shaped the experience.

01

Discovery before decoration

Every visual decision supports shopping behaviour. Categories, search, filters, product cards and promotional sections are structured to help customers discover relevant products faster rather than adding unnecessary interface complexity.

02

Product detail without friction

Product pages combine strong imagery, gallery exploration, zoom interactions, pricing, supporting information and clear purchase actions so customers can evaluate a product without losing context or navigating through unnecessary screens.

03

Responsive by default

The storefront was designed as a complete mobile shopping experience rather than a compressed desktop layout. Navigation, filters, product grids, galleries, cart actions and checkout flows adapt intentionally for smaller screens.

04

Consistency builds confidence

Repeated interaction patterns, predictable spacing, consistent typography and familiar commerce behaviours create a storefront that feels professionally managed and easier for customers to trust.

System Thinking

Built as a storefront system. Not a collection of isolated pages.

The prototype uses reusable product, category, navigation, filtering and commerce components so the experience can scale across a growing catalogue. Shared structures allow products, collections, promotional campaigns and future commerce functionality to evolve without rebuilding the interface page by page.

Created a complete premium storefront direction for the Slimza brand.

Structured a catalogue of 24 products into a clearer discovery experience.

Designed responsive shop, category, search and filtering experiences.

Built detailed product pages with interactive image gallery and zoom behaviour.

Introduced bundle-based purchasing flows with progressive quantity discounts.

Created cart and guest checkout experiences as part of the end-to-end shopping journey.

Established reusable frontend components for future catalogue and storefront expansion.

Final Outcome

A more considered wayto shop Slimza.

The prototype gives Slimza a clearer premium commerce direction: stronger product discovery, richer product exploration and a consistent responsive journey from catalogue browsing to checkout. More importantly, it establishes a reusable frontend foundation that can grow into a complete production storefront.
