Smart Job Portal

Project Perspective

Hiring works better when every role has a clear path.

A job portal serves different people with very different goals. Job seekers want to find relevant opportunities and manage applications, employers need a practical way to publish jobs and review candidates, while administrators need visibility and control across the entire platform. The product was designed around those separate needs while keeping the hiring process connected.

Building around the full recruitment journey

The goal of this project was to create more than a simple job listing website. A real recruitment platform needs to support candidates looking for work, employers managing hiring activity and administrators maintaining the wider system.

The Job Seeker Experience

Job seekers can explore available opportunities, open detailed job pages, apply to relevant positions and manage their application activity through a dedicated account. The interface keeps the process focused so candidates can move from discovery to application without unnecessary complexity.

The Employer Workspace

Employers use a separate dashboard designed around hiring operations. They can create and manage job listings, review candidates and keep track of applications from one central workspace.

Role-Based Access

The application uses role-based access to separate job-seeker, employer and administrative functionality. Each user only sees the routes and actions appropriate to their role, keeping the product easier to understand and more secure to operate.

Administrative Oversight

The admin dashboard provides a wider view of the platform, allowing administrators to manage users, employers, jobs and other important activity without interfering with everyday hiring workflows.

Integrated Blog System

The platform also includes a publishing system for recruitment and career-related content. Employers and administrators can create blog posts to share hiring advice, company insights, workplace information or career guidance alongside active opportunities.

A Connected Data Model

Jobs, employers, applicants and applications are treated as connected parts of one recruitment workflow. This structure keeps the system easier to maintain and provides a stronger foundation for future features such as saved jobs, notifications, advanced search and candidate recommendations.

Product Principles

5 decisions shaped the experience.

01

Clear role boundaries

Job seekers, employers and administrators each receive a dedicated dashboard with access limited to the tools and information relevant to their responsibilities.

02

Simple job discovery

The job-seeker experience focuses on making it easy to browse opportunities, understand job details and apply without unnecessary steps.

03

Practical employer workflows

Employers can manage job postings, review applicants and maintain hiring activity from one workspace instead of handling the process through disconnected tools.

04

Content supports recruitment

The blog system allows employers and administrators to publish useful hiring, career and workplace content that adds value beyond job listings.

05

Central administrative control

The admin dashboard provides oversight of users, employers, jobs, applications and published content while keeping platform operations organized.

Smart Job Portal

System Thinking

Built aroundhiring workflows

The platform connects users, companies, jobs, applications and blog content through one shared system. Job seekers interact with opportunities and applications, employers manage listings and applicants, and administrators oversee platform activity. Role-based authorization keeps these experiences separate while the underlying recruitment data remains connected.

Built separate dashboards for job seekers, employers and administrators.

Implemented role-based authentication and protected access across the platform.

Created a job posting and management workflow for employers.

Developed job search and detailed job-view experiences for candidates.

Built an application workflow that allows job seekers to apply and track their applications.

Created employer tools for reviewing and managing applicants.

Added profile management for both job seekers and employers.

Built an admin dashboard for managing users, employers, jobs and platform activity.

Integrated a blog system where employers and administrators can create and manage posts.

Designed reusable components and data structures to support future recruitment features.

Final Outcome

A platform forbetter hiring

The final product is a structured recruitment platform that supports the complete journey from job discovery to candidate management. Job seekers, employers and administrators each receive a focused experience, while the blog system adds a useful content layer for career and hiring communication.
